Personal Story
I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 19 years of experience in family medicine with an emphasis on women’s health, menopause, and geriatrics.
I have treated patients with chronic diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and patients with acute illness. I also enjoy educating my patients on preventative medicine, such as health screenings, diet, and exercise, and managing chronic conditions. Before working in family medicine, I worked with urgent care patients and have my Doctorate in Clinical Nursing.
I originally grew up and completed my undergraduate education in Virginia, after which, I moved to Colorado at age 22. I have lived here ever since. I received her Master of Science in Nursing / Family Nurse Practitioner in 2006 from the University of Colorado. Subsequently, I obtained my Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2015 from the University of Colorado.
I have a passion for preventative health care and believe strongly in a healthy diet, exercise, and mental and spiritual health to improve health status and avoid illness.
When not working, I enjoy travel, the outdoors, music, exercise, snowboarding, camping and all kinds of outdoor recreation.
I have a focus on improving mental and physical health through diet, exercise, vitamin and nutrient supplementation and hormone optimization.

My approach to physical, mental and spiritual health focuses on treating the root causes of illness, treating the symptoms when necessary and providing the body the ability to bring itself into balance.
